Onward: Content strategy & UX writing for a fintech rebrand

Onward was a fintech platform designed to help co-parents track and manage shared expenses, easing financial tensions in co-parenting relationships. I contributed to its UX writing and content design, refining website copy for clarity and conversion. I also worked on an editorial calendar focused on thought leadership and wrote a monthly email newsletter. Onward’s impact was recognized when it won the Visa Everywhere Initiative for fintech innovation.

SVB Spark: Scalable, personalized financial content for founders

I served as the editorial lead on the launch of SVB's Spark Newsletter, the bank's first personalized email marketing program for startup founders. Built in Marketo, it solved a key problem: as client lists grew, bankers weren't getting enough touchpoints with founders throughout the year.

The newsletter was highly targeted and modular, serving up different content based on a founder's industry (tech, SaaS, life sciences) and funding stage (pre-seed, seed, Series A, etc.). I collaborated with the design team, marketing automation specialists, subject matter experts, bankers, and SVB's legal team to ensure the content was both engaging and regulatory-compliant.

In addition to shaping the content strategy, I wrote the newsletters, balancing clarity with personalization to keep founders engaged between major funding milestones. The personalized approach improved NPS by 8% and customer lifetime value by 5%.
